A word from our directors

Recap 2021

It has been a bit silent since our last newsletter in 2021. The reason for this is that we have been busy by reorganizing our organization in order to remain S&H as the frontrunner of the luxury interior industry.

Over the year 2021, we delivered 6 yachting projects. We started the year with the delivery of 2 non-disclosed projects. Hereafter we delivered the interior for the beautiful Feadship Vanish. Her stylish interior was designed by Harrison Eidsgaard and the yacht has been delivered to great joy of her owner.

In May 2021, we delivered a crew accommodation of the Feadship Somnium. Her interior has been produced on the base of a 3D engineering package which was quite an innovation for us. This was our first project which has entirely been engineered in 3D. This innovation brought us new insights about possibilities to further improve our processes to be more efficient.

The long awaited Feadship VIVA has been released just before the Monaco Yacht show. VIVA was the star of the show and with her giant glass construction feature in the hull, her outstanding detailed interior, designed by Peter Marino shines brightly.

After delivering the beautiful projects described above, we went full steam ahead to finish the interior for M.Y. PHI, Royal Huisman hull number 403. PHI is a special project for the Dutch Yachting industry by being the largest yacht below 500GT. Her interior design principle has come from Cor de Rover and has been further elaborated by the UK based design studio Lawson Robb. The interior features a countless number of details and special finishes, custom developed for this project.

Project Phi was our last yachting project delivered in 2021. On top of the projects above, we delivered a top-class interior for a major residential project in the center of London.

Our company has been challenged by delivering all these projects in time, on budget and according to the specification. For this we decided to make some adjustments to our organization in order to keep more control over our projects in the future.

Anner Eggink has strengthened the management team of our organization in Novembre 2021 and has an important role in guiding the organization to her next phase of grew.

Over the past months we have exceeded our boundaries and put in a lot of work and effort to create the most unique and exceptional interiors and we are striving to continue to put in this effort once again to create the most pristine interiors the world has never seen before on time, on budget and to specification. For this it’s required to refine our organization slightly.

The first changes are made in our engineering department in order to streamline our workflow further and to improve the transition between various departments. We have changed some of the existing roles in our engineering department and started up some new roles within our team. Please find a dedicated article about these developments in our newsletter.

In the coming period we will further refine the organization to improve our professionalism and to prepare it for growth. We will keep you posted on this in the coming newsletters.

Enjoy reading our first newsletter for this year.
